Ute Indians have been around for centuries. Ute Indians owned the ground of Colorado. When bison roamed the ground and the trees went so high many tribes of Ute people lived in tepees. Ute tribes lived in Utah, Colorado, Northern New Mexico and Northeastern Arizona.Ute Indians have lived in the mountains for thousands of years. They lived in tepees out in the wilderness and they hunted where the bison roamed. They praised the animals they killed for feeding them.
