What was a Boom Town?
A Boom Town was a town that had a huge population and that attracted people to come to it. People went to the Boom Town because of the miners who came to work there to dig for silver and gold. Miners were motivated by money. Some people might have gotten rich. That's why people went to the Boom Town because miners were at Boom Towns and there was a lot of money there for people to buy and sell things and build cabins. There was enough value to support shops, an assayer’s office, mills, buy food, etc.
