Why Did They Want To Mine Gold?
Once people heard about gold, silver was now worth very little. People mined a lot to strike it rich or to feed their families. Miners also wanted to mine because they wanted nice looking houses, instead of bad-looking cabins. So since they only made $2 or $4 a day, they thought gold was worth a lot.Why not buy a house with the gold I found, and the gold I saved.
